Robert Francis is an experienced attorney who has operated a law firm in Aspen, Colorado, since 1971. As the owner and lead practitioner at Robert Francis Attorney at Law, he practices several fields of law. At the time of the firm’s opening, he was one of the region’s first real estate lawyers.

Between 1971 and 1973, Robert Francis balanced his law firm activities with his work as the assistant district attorney for the City of Aspen. During this time, he was briefly involved in the Ted Bundy case. He began his legal career as an associate lawyer with John Tommey Attorney at Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He spent seven years with the United States Marine Corps, leaving with the rank of First Lieutenant.

Academically, Robert Francis earned an economics degree from Indiana University. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with his juris doctor. He also maintains a Colorado broker’s license. Apart from his legal work, he is an accomplished watercolorist and a dedicated weightlifter. He has completed multiple marathons and half-marathons.
